Pioneering sustainability in Clark County, The Hasson Company is the only real estate company in the area offering its clients access to a designated team of Green-certified agents. Further leading the industry in Green Real Estate, The Hasson Company will also be the primary sponsor of this year's Clark County Parade of Homes, which will showcase LEED-rated and various other levels of Green-certified homes.

The Hasson Company's Green Team embraces the Green trend by providing its agents with the education and skills necessary to assist clients looking for sustainable housing. Tracy Mollenholt and Cheri Thomas, agents with the company's Vancouver office and members of The Green Team, have completed the Earth Advantage S.T.A.R. certification course, helping them further strengthen their expertise and knowledge base about sustainable living in Clark County.

Licensed in both Washington and Oregon, Mollenholt became interested in sustainability after her husband and she purchased a home in the Columbia River Gorge and decided to incorporate Green practices into the remodel of the home.

"Green builders will benefit from my services because I speak their language," says Mollenholt. "Because I have knowledge as well as a commitment to serve the segment of the population who value sustainability, I can more easily reach a builder's target market than other agents who are not educated and not focused on sustainability. Clients benefit in the same way. It is a synergistic relationship where like-minded people benefit from the services of everyone working to promote sustainability."

With a motto of "The Good Life, The Green Life," Thomas hopes to "restore our world one home at a time." She believes that as personal and private as people's homes may be, on a fundamental level everyone shares the same home.

"In essence, we all live downstream from each other," says Thomas. "We have a choice as to the kind of legacy we leave for our children. That legacy won't come entirely from choices we make about our homes, but I believe it's an extremely important place to start."

Thomas applies this philosophy to her real estate career. She believes in building partnerships with and advocating on behalf of clients who share her vision of Greener living.
